Prayer Bench friend, Doris Henry of Riverview,  New Brunswick, sends this picture she titled “The maple tree stump that defied death.”  Doris writes:

“This was the base of a huge maple tree in my backyard. I usually trim the new growth in the early summer. But this year I simply forgot. And as you can see, nature provided me with a beautiful piece of scenery.”
