Landscapes of the Soul
Small Group Study
Welcome to this Resource Page where you will find what you need for leading the Landscapes of the Soul Small Group Study.
Please feel free to share this page with all the leaders on your Pastoral Charge/Parish if you have more than one group. You are also welcome to share the page with the members of your groups. Your registration covers use for your Pastoral Charge/Group/Parish.
The Audio Recordings are easier than ever to download and save to your laptop/computer so you can play them without an internet connection. Look for the download icon in the top right hand corner of the audio track and follow the download directions.
The print files are available in PDF version. You can also download and save these to your computer.
Please, if you have any issues with downloading or opening files email me and I will do whatever I can to help or send you materials another way. Email
As you begin meeting with your groups, I also encourage you to ‘leave a comment’ below introducing yourself and where you are from and describe your group. This helps us hold one another in prayer as we journey through this study together.

Guided Intercessory Prayer Audio Recording by Rev. Catherine Smith
We’ve just started using the Landscapes of the Soul sessions in our small group. People love it. Several say they listen to the audios several times during the week. OUrs is a multifaith group and yet people find something in each of these sessions for themselves.
We just finished this study this week. Thanks again for a wonderful resource that is engaging, theologically deep and accessible. A lay person led one of the sessions in my absence and I would encourage other groups to share in the leadership, I know I plan on doing that in the future, even when I am present. Much to my surprise, the group especially enjoyed the ‘Bible-less Bible Study.’ It led to wonderful discussions about how we remember and what we remember, and that becomes our truth. Thanks again for this wonderful ministry.
Thank you. I love that the bible-less Bible Study evokes so much discussion.
This is going to be a wonderful study in the season of creation…………….so looking forward to it.
Hi Janice;
We’ve just finished the third session of Landscape here at \trinity in New Glasgow. We have a small but committed group who have gotten to know each other through this opportunity to share and grow together. So thanks for that, and thanks for the “Bald Mountain” story. I can certainly imagine you running across the road, through the field , past the Barite mine, and up to the bald spot on the mountain. And it warms my heart that this mountain is a spiritual memory for you. Thanks for sharing it. Donna
Hi Janice, I’m looking forward to leading this series starting late Sept. Could you tell me what translation you used for Matt: 14: 22-33 in the second session. I really like the way this reads. Blessings, Vicky May
